Having briefly met previously through an automotive enthusiast friend of mine. I knew Usama was a great travel photographer and an all round great guy. You know when you just meet someone briefly but instantly feel like you have known them for years. Fast forward a couple of years and I get an email land in my enquiries from Usama (bearing in mind I didn't fully know him at that point) asking if I was free for his and Claires wedding date.
He mentioned that he had always had an eye on my work ever since the day we met and I took a couple of photographs of his then recently finished Mercedes.
Naturally, it's great when my work speaks to potential couples of mine and is all I need to hear from my side. Obviously getting along and having that rapport between both parties is essential also but as soon as I spoke to both Claire and Usama in detail I knew that would never be an issue.
Their day was a fantastic reflection of the two of them. A beautifully relaxed morning for Claire getting ready at her childhood home in Shepley surrounded by her closest family. I even got the grand tour of the most spectacular garden which has been Claire's dads labour of love for many a year.
Oakwell hall itself suited my way of photographing perfectly with its low light and dark walls it was a pleasure to photograph and the staff on the day couldn't have been more helpful. very stress free.
These two have a seriously strong connection and you know its love when as a surprise Claire hunted down and travelled all the way to Scotland on her own to buy Usama's pride and joy Mercedes back that he sold a few years back as a gift on the day.
